From the One Single Impression prompt: Copse
(pure stream of consciousness… I was going for imagery not sense!)
Stinging envy needles shout Zuul!
I don’t believe in any of this
I’m sorry
But still they taunt me,
Their verdant greenery aflame in need
I fall as the sky chuckles
The lavender copse, my only salvation
In this dream of life.
Sweet poignant and melancholy words. Nicely written.

I think you accomplished your goal. I am not good at all with imagery, so when I hear “imagery” I listen, look, read, and recite.
Sense? There might be a little (LOL) of that here as well. 🙂

noooo, lol. salvation can never be found in the dream… the lavender copse is beyond the dream and yet paradoxically in it…. just like “us.”
